BridgeFab, part of the McNab Group, delivers end-to-end steel management solutions—from drafting, 3D scanning and modelling, fabrication, to installation—all under one roof. We pride ourselves on providing safe, high-quality, and efficient steel solutions for our clients.

We are expanding our team and are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multiple structural steel projects across Southeast QLD.

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of structural steel projects from tender through to completion. This role will take ownership of multiple projects, ensuring they are planned, coordinated and delivered safely, on time and on budget. You will play a key role in estimating, procurement, programming, financial reporting, design coordination and preparing our Site Manager for successful delivery.

You will be the link between the client, project teams and BridgeFab leadership, helping to ensure every project is delivered with certainty and in line with our standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of structural steel projects from tender through to completion
  • Review project drawings, write construction methodology, including buildability and value engineering solutions
  • Manage project budgets, cashflow, progress claims, variations and monthly reporting
  • Develop and maintain project programmes and delivery schedules
  • Oversee subcontractor, supplier and freight engagement
  • Review drawings, specifications and buildability, providing practical solutions
  • Support estimating and tendering activities, including take-offs and pricing input
  • Monitor budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities to maximise project profitability.
  • Drive quality outcomes through QA/QC, ITPs and inspection processes
  • Ensure HSEQ requirements are understood and upheld across all projects
  • Work closely with design, site and commercial teams to resolve issues quickly
  • Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
  • Lead, mentor and support project team members to deliver high performance
  • Proactively manage client relationships, maintaining open communication and acting as the primary point of contact to ensure satisfaction and project alignment.

About You

  • Previous experience in project management, site management or a similar role within the structural steel industry.
  • Ideally you come from a structural steel background, are trade qualified or have undertaken further education, in project management or construction management (or similar)
  • Exceptional leadership skills, able to motivate, mentor, and guide teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Strong relationship management experience, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and maintain trust at all levels.
  • Commercially minded, balancing costs, requirements, and quality to make practical decisions.
  • Safety-focused, with a strong commitment to quality on every project.
  • Proven ability to run multiple projects concurrently and can multi-task with ease
  • Confidence interpreting drawings, assessing buildability and managing design changes
  • Solid understanding of construction systems, processes and project controls
  • Excellent communicator, capable of managing clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders effectively.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong attention to detail
  • Experience working to safety, quality and regulatory standards, including NCC
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two projects are the same
  • Highly organised with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • An OHS White Card, and current QLD driver’s licence is an essential requirement for this role
