Work Experience Program
Building Pathways – McNab’s Work Experience Program for schools
At McNab, we know the future of our industry starts well before graduation. It starts when students pull on a hi vis vest and hard hat for the first time, step onto a live construction site, and realise: I could actually see myself here.
The McNab Building Pathways Program is our one-week, school holiday work experience program for Year 11 and 12 students who want a real look inside construction, development and the many careers that support them.
What began as a small intake has grown into one of our most in-demand early career experiences, with hundreds of applications each year and students returning as apprentices, cadets and trainees. And we’re only just getting started – future intakes will be bigger, broader and even more hands-on across South East Queensland.
Building Pathways is more than just a week of work experience. It’s about confidence, clarity and connection – helping young people discover where they fit in an industry that builds the places people live, work and thrive in.
