About the role
As our People Systems Specialist, reporting to the Technology Program Manager, you’ll play a key role in implementing Dayforce as our new HR, Payroll and Workforce Management platform. In this hands-on role, you’ll shape how Dayforce is designed, configured and adopted across our multi-entity workforce so it reflects McNab’s future operating model. Working closely with Technology, Payroll, People & Culture, Finance and operational teams, you’ll turn business requirements into practical, compliant solutions through analysis, configuration, data validation, testing, training, support and issue resolution. You’ll also build internal capability and champion standard, scalable solutions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Administer Dayforce design and configuration across Core HR, Payroll and Workforce Management, ensuring compliance with employment conditions and agreements
  • Gather requirements, facilitate workshops, map processes and identify gaps against McNab’s future operating model
  • Support data migration, cleansing, reconciliation and validation to ensure accurate workforce data
  • Execute system testing, manage defects and coordinate resolutions with technical teams and vendors
  • Resolve Dayforce configuration issues with stakeholders, assessing downstream impacts of proposed changes
  • Support training, change readiness and handover, building internal capability through clear documentation and knowledge sharing

You’ll bring:

  • Hands-on experience supporting the delivery and implementation across Enterprise HCM – Dayforce experience essential
  • Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis and functional documentation
  • Experience with data migration, reconciliation, system testing, defect management and implementation readiness in a complex business environment
  • An understanding of Australian HR and payroll processes, employment legislation and compliance requirements, ideally including Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • The ability to build relationships across technical and non-technical teams, translating complex system requirements into clear, practical solutions for stakeholders at all levels
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving, with the confidence to challenge existing processes, manage competing priorities and advocate for standard, scalable solutions
