We’re looking for a proactive, relationship-driven Injury Management Advisor to join our People & Culture team and play a key role in supporting our workforce across the McNab Group.

As our business continues to grow in scale and complexity, this role is critical in strengthening how we manage workplace and non-workplace injuries, ensuring our people are supported, and enabling better outcomes across safety, wellbeing and performance.

Working directly with site teams, leaders and external providers to deliver practical, timely and compliant injury management support, this the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to action. This role is a hybrid structure with a mix of in office and mobile duties.

About the Role

This role is focused on delivering high-quality, end-to-end injury management across the business. You’ll partner closely with operational leaders, HSE and People & Culture to support injured workers, coordinate care, and ensure safe and strong return-to-work outcomes.

You’ll take ownership of injury case management, while also contributing to broader improvements in how we manage risk, compliance and worker experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage workplace and non-workplace injury cases across the McNab Group
  • Proactively drive early intervention and return-to-work outcomes through regular site based and face-to-face engagement with injured workers, leaders and treating practitioners
  • Manage WorkCover and icare claims, including submission, progress and outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with multi-jurisdiction workers compensation legislation
  • Maintain accurate records within the Carelever system and ensure strong documentation practices
  • Partner with payroll to ensure accurate processing of claims and payments
  • Provide guidance on injury classification and fitness for work assessments
  • Build and manage relationships with insurers, legal advisors and external providers
  • Support cost mitigation strategies through proactive case management and insurer engagement

The Ideal Candidate

This role suits someone who is confident operating in a fast-paced, operational environment and enjoys building strong relationships across a diverse workforce. You build credibility quickly, partner effectively with leaders, and take ownership of outcomes rather than simply managing process.

You’ll bring a practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to balance empathy with strong process and compliance discipline.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in injury management, workers compensation or return-to-work coordination
  • Strong understanding of workers compensation legislation (multi-state exposure highly regarded)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and stakeholders at once
  • The ability to assess complex situations, apply sound judgement, and deliver practical, outcome-focused solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and build trust
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation capability
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on early intervention and outcomes
  • Confidence working autonomously in a mobile/on-road hybrid role

Experience within construction, infrastructure or similar industries is highly regarded but not essential.

Tertiary qualifications in allied health, workplace health and safety, or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
